RECEPTION, no transmission! When I'm in a hotel, how I can build a better antenna and attach it to my laptop?
When I leave the city, is quite simple to build a portable, collapsible, antenna (dish?) To capture a better signal from the router for someone else. I'm in a hotel … No I have my own router … I want a better chance to collect and use a router to another through the hotel window. My laptop has no power "to set an external antenna, so that's another problem. THANK YOU! What a wonderful response. I can not wait to try one or more during my next trip. This is what you can do. At the bottom of your laptop, you need to know what removable panel gives you access to your wireless card. Usually there are many signs, then just delete all. We will have your wireless adapter in it, and probably will say "wireless adapter" or something in it (the mine). You will see a wire antenna on this card. You can simply connect another thread on this same antenna and run this wire to a window and tape. You have greatly improved the wireless signal reception. I would recommend removal cables before transporting your laptop, because the exposed child is bad. It can be a little sore, but it's cheaper and easier to improve reception. Be sure to use the screwdriver you need during your travels. Any fairly narrow, flexible cable pleasant.
