old laptop, Windows 98 startup hangs! I want to delete HD, but I can not!?
Question Details: So I bought a very 760eld Old Thinkpad. It came with Windows 98 is installed. It starts well again halfway through the image 98, the system freezes and the laptop is switched off completely. Although it would be nice to be able to boot into Windows, I really do not care. I finally installed Linux. I put in the cd iso linux but still boots to Windows, I burned a copy of activekilldisk to erase the hard drive, but Windows still boots. I checked the BIOS boot order is correct. It reads well from the start as the computer is on cd. I found all the buttons to try to boot from the CD. However, Windows still boots. No disk, CD-ROM.
