Why has asked European countries to the Netherlands and the Netherlands?
Why is the country that hosts the well known Dutch Holland and Neatherlands? I do not understand.
The correct name is Holland, but Holland is also used, often informally. "Holland" also designates to the west of the country (which is composed of the provinces of North and South Netherlands). I think Holland were used because it is shorter and easy to say and have taken steps, otherwise the Netherlands it is also undeniable that one of the most important parts of the country to Amsterdam and Rotterdam and The Hague etc.
