The Bull is Back: Micro Cars impetus
With a more environmentally friendly than ever, manufacturers are always looking for new ways to give the people less car for your money. But in the automotive world, less often can mean more weight, less is more fuel efficient, engine size more Small means less fuel consumption and lower fuel consumption combined with fuel economy with less money spent on fuel.
However, little thought is not new, it was the lack of equipment and fuel after WW2 that drove the development of the Bubble Car. The severe shortage means that manufacturers automotive engineers have thought little, and had talent – many of whom worked in the aviation industry prior military – which has decided to reduce the size engine family. Known called Bubble cars because of their usual rounded dome-shaped, these vehicles have become Europe's roads in years fifties and sixties.
Because these cars are cheaper to produce than the larger vehicles of the barrier to entry was smaller and a series small producers enjoyed a brief period of success before being forced out of the market by the greats of the time as the German engineering firm Messerschmitt.
Bubble But the car was more than a car. It symbolized a new dawn for Europe, and marked a renewed energy and prosperity to its people trying to recover in the rubble of a bombed civilization, who needed a car but could not rely on savings or the Car loan options we enjoy today, to buy one.
However, the bubble car boom was short-lived, living and recreation of nations devastated by the war in Europe means that the production of raw materials began to increase again and in ten years, consumers want to drive more cars that reflect the growing affluence of the population.
And if a period of growth where the cars have become more bold and started Brasher, prior to 90 with the current, so-called "soccer moms" driving mass Gourmet Gas Sport Utility Vehicles (nicknamed Chelsea Tractors) in downtown areas only for shopping and children leave. This binge led to fuel a public backlash, pressure groups campaigning for a ban of these vehicles in urban centers, citing Carbon producing unnecessarily high, thus aggravating the already severe traffic conditions, exacerbate parking problems and purely fashion accessories rather than necessary transportation modes.
Now, however, the automotive industry is seeking to reduce its size again and we may soon see a revolution in micro-cars. Of course, if there have been several small cars on the market – the popular Mini is an example that is still strong, but it seems that manufacturers are increasingly developing smaller cars like the Aptera, the Tata Nano, and of course the Smart car, which has been in production for over a decade.
The madness of micro-car is still not so successful drivers in the United States the North where large motors have always been the agenda, but in Europe, are welcoming to smaller vehicles and recognize that when the cars are concerned, small is really beautiful.
