What's next for Miguel Cotto?
Close four months ago, we saw an undefeated prospect not only his only professional loss, but his loss as well as KO. Miguel Cotto has had one of the most dangerous welterweight, Antonio Margarito. Margarito came into the fight like underdogs. But the boy had to prove otherwise. He was the one that came on top of the world, surpassing unbeaten Miguel Cotto.
Examine the facts of the fight. Miguel Cotto is one of the most dangerous left hooks to the body in sport. Margarito has almost the same style as well, but never stops punching. It also has the chin of iron. Cotto other hand, fires in spurts of combinations, and has some problems chin well.
The real reason Margarito won the fight was his chin, and every time has been that night. This man could be released two thousand fists in the night, regardless of speed manually. It also was the one who dug inside the body of his opponent, while many thought that Cotto was to do. It never came. Cotto just wanted to hit him in the head and get out as quickly as possible.
The problem with this is no speed Cotto feet to get out of Margarito so fast. Maybe I will, but he can keep going for twelve rounds.
If what is the result of the star of Puerto Rico? Well, it was said that if Paul, the Punisher, Williams left the title as Michael Jennings Cotto compete for the title of departure.
I personally do not even know who Michael Jennings. I looked and Preston, England. His last fight was on February 2, 2008 KO Ross Minter in the 9th. Well, even though I looked, I saw no combat. So really, I do not know what kind of threat of OT, is Miguel Cotto.
Another opponent is likely to face Cotto with colleagues is Puerto Rico, Kermit Cintron. Both fighters have one thing in common. Both were defeated, only Margarito. Cintron will face Lovemore N'dou in November. He hopes to be the first to stop N'dou. Actually, I think it will happen. If Cotto, a fighter who is the intelligent power Cintron could not fail, what Cintron makes you think, despite his tremendous success, it would be able to stop N'dou. It's just a hitter.
Should it go beyond N'dou, cons will probably be able Matchup Cotto. This is a fight I want to see. Box vs puncher. But all, I think Cotto could pull this off with their intelligence in the ring with his hand speed and blindness.
I know you probably think that one thinks a bit too far, but if Cotto could go beyond of his next rival will be able to set a rematch with Margarito in June 2009. This probably will take place all day Puerto Rican Day Parade, which means likely to fight at Madison Square Garden. So if you think Cotto is the warrior he is, I do not think will lose to all Puerto Ricans.
We think a little too far. Do not even know Margarito will be the next rival. Top Rank has said that if you do not find a match for Margarito in early January, the party round will be held from February. I'm just waiting for this rematch, regardless of when it will happen.
