Pull Over
How often do cops pull people over in the interstate at night?

i’ve been on the interstate at night, and there’s rarely a lot of cars, except for the big cities. but i was wondering how often cops will pull someone over randomly on the interstate at night? also, what vehicle’s do they pull over mostly? for instance, motorcycles, cars, suv’s, tractor trailers, pick up truck, pick up trucks with trailers etc.?
just curious, thanks in advance!

Most police officers are very professional, and don’t pull cars over at random, day or night. The night time is especially dangerous for police officers because it’s harder to determine what activities may be going on inside the vehicle they stopped. It doesn’t matter much what type of vehicle they stop. They may be more suspicious of certain vehicles like tractor trailers or motor homes being used for transportation of large quantities of drugs if their license plates indicate a problem area, but they will stop any vehicle type that is breaking the a law. The police are human, and just like everyone else, there are certain vehicles they don’t like, as well as some driver’s actions behind the wheel that upset them. Sometimes they pull a vehicle over just because it’s the same description of a vehicle used in a robbery or the driver has a warrant and decided to run. That happened to my friend and his wife. They had a car with the same description as one used in an armed robbery! Imagine their amazement when they were pulled over on the way to Florida, and found their vehicle surrounded by four police cars and six police officers with the guns drawn! They were shaken, but after the police found out they weren’t the bank robbers, they went on their way with one heck of a vacation story to tell! If you’re not creating any hazard for other traffic and are within the limits of the speed laws, you’ll rarely ever meet a police officer!
