Pour off the yoke of slavery
The recent acquittals of police officers accused of killing Sean Bell on his wedding day and the scandal that erupted by the inflammatory statements of Rev. Jeremiah Wright are clear indications that race remains important in the United States.
Absolution three police officers New York is not unlike the case of Rodney King that sparked riots and caused billions of dollars in damages the City of Los Angeles in 1992.
Without But it is essential that, while many plan to pour into the streets of New York to protest the acquittal, African-Americans do not allow the injustices of the past with the to make use of the "Old School" mentality of past generations of slaves.
While racism, sexism and all other forms of discrimination that still exist in American society, it is imperative that the first generation of African Americans to cripple the next generation, because the pain of past abuses.
The young generation should know that the white man is not the cause of all problems currently suffered by the black community, but some of these self-inflicted wounds.
To say that white America is still the cause of all African-American subjects suggests that blacks are still slaves under white control.
Success the candidacy of Barack Obama to the White House should be an indicator of change that took place in the United States should give hope to all African-Americans that the remaining obstacles to racial equality is expected to soon be a thing of the past.
Racism and all forms of ignorance that have power over us when it is allowed. And although the black community always need leaders to speak out against the status quo, these leaders should be aware that words are power, and sometimes the words of our leaders takes power away from us and given to those who believe it is discriminatory against us.
Too often, critics of African Americans to others which are not always angry with the system as traitors or Uncle Toms. However, it is time for the black community to stop trying to define what should be black.
Stereotypes that a black man should look like, and I think that is the same racist stereotypes all black people as violent and unintelligent. If African-American racist not All Blacks are the same, is just as racist as we ourselves do.
If an African-American decides to live in Beverly Hills, Baldwin Hills, in contrast, are less black? On the other hand, if an African American chooses to play lacrosse or baseball rather than football and basketball are sold?
It is time that the black community stop placing restrictions on the generation Young behalf of black pride. We should be proud of fixed or running in place for decades. We should all applaud when a brother or sister does something that goes against and open doors for others to follow.
If we do not simply according to the old slave masters who believe they have the ability to succeed as much as possible of human experience.
Imagine if Obama had thought in the minds of many in the black community that America will never elect a black president. If I had Indeed, then the next generation of black leaders can never know that they are "masters" of their own destiny, and nothing else.
